What can I say about Glamping Pods? Hmm. I’ve never really been a fan. Functionally they are very clever. Cosy and warm with a huge variety of fit-outs.
What I’m not keen on isn’t the product but the way so are so often laid out on the land. All in a big row or a circle with little or often as not no external landscaping or decoration with sometimes a single pub bench table outside . This make them look and feel like a bit bleak, like an army camp. I fail to see there the Glamourous in Glamping comes in here. Functional, yes, but somewhere I’d like to go on holiday? Only if they have gone the extra mile.
If you are in the industry, please give this some thought. Try and offer some ‘magical’ in your outdoor space. Make each pitch private, individual and special. Somewhere were your guest will love to come home to and visit time and times again. Flags, bunting, trees, planting, herb garden etc. all give the feeling of care and beauty your guests will enjoy and comment on. Comments make bookings.
